Greetings,
Is it possible to set a handling time of 1 or 2 days depending on the items I sell?
Sometimes it is not possible to have a courier pick up the same day or I need to get items from a secondary warehouse.
I cannot find any area to define this period and keep getting "delivery overdue" messages from Ebay....
Any and all thoughts / enlightenment would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Darren

The only other thing I can suggest is to make your cut off time very early - like 6am
So that if they buy at 7am you have until 6am the next day before ebay starts counting,
From the site preferences page.

Handling time is in the postage options, when you list

You can select the handling time when you create the listing, and can edit it at any time unless a bid's been lodged, or the listing has less than 24 hours left. You can't change it after a sale has been made.
Open the listing, select "Revise your listing", then scroll down to "Postage details", and select "Handling time":

1 or 2 days handling time well that's just asking for trouble I think.

Greetings,
1 or 2 days is a true reflection because of my situation.
When you say "trouble", what do you mean ? do you anticipate that I would lose sales because of this time period ?

Greetings,
Many thanks, I had forgot about his little bit (and then remembered why it does not work for me).
The items I sell are physically large and can weigh upto 125Kgs and as such I classify them as "Freight - large & bulky" . This selection seems to negate the "handling time" option......
My freight costs vary between local and interstate deliveries so I can't see that using a "Flat: same cost..." to all is either practical (or fair) to either myself or the end user.
Anyways, thank you again for your response.
Cheers

In your opening post you said:-
"........and keep getting "delivery overdue" messages from Ebay...."
That's where your trouble will stem from, if you get too many of those warnings eBay will restrict your selling account.

Check your - Late Shipment Rate -
Once you reach a certain % of late shipments, your selling account can be suspended or cancelled.
