How do you make store categories visible in listing alongside description?

Hi everyone,

Stumped again and feeling like a noob.

I've got it in my other store so I must have done it at some stage but I can't remember for the life of me how I did it.

I've checked on the boards, I've checked in Help pages, no luck!

I have store categories enabled and they are visible on the first page that opens up in the store. However, I cannot see store categories in the listing pages themselves. Other stores have a column to the left of each product description and the store categories can be seen there.

The option is in Store Design > Display Settings > Left navigation bar settings

Hi Sport,

Unless I'm missing something, those settings only show the navigation bar on your store page, not in the individual listing pages.

That's the problem.

Please correct me if I'm wrong because I can't find anything else to tick there :_|

I think you're right and I have done that. However, it's still not showing up.

There may be a thing about how many listings or categories exist before they appear. They may just not be appearing for me because they hate me :^O

Maybe the changes take a while. Or yo may need to relist them for the changes to appear.

You could also add a clickable links to your store categories at the top of the listing under your store banner using

Add Links to your store pages

If I add clickable links, I need to make sure there are always listed items under each category. I'm trying to do it as I've done it before... hence it should just show the same list of categories on the left of each listing description as it does on the store page.

I tried revising an item in case it helps but it hasn't.

In the Listing Frame section if you click on "Preview your listing frame" is Store Categories showing on the left?
