Change from 'flat cost' to 'calculated' in the dropdown menu & it goes by postcode

To add, you can't after the item is sold.

The buyer is only obligated to paying what is shown in the listing.

If the seller makes an error, the seller pays.

This is regarding what 'kopes' said that you can't tell people the postage is extra if in different states. You can, actually. The OP most likely is new to eBay and is still learning the ropes. OP, you're welcome to message the buyer and explain the situation that you're new and didn't realise postage would be more when posting interstate. The buyer may decide to pay the difference or just a few dollars more as any extra will help. They may choose not to, though. Don't get mad if they choose not to. Just chalk it up to experience, pay the postage, be friendly, helpful and learn for next time. Calculated postage is very helpful and remember to factor in any packaging costs aswell, as that can add up if you go through lots of packaging material each week.

You can't after the item is already sold like kopes said.

Don't know what you're on about because if a seller said after I purchased an item that the postage was incorrect and could I pay more,

well pigs **bleep** and bad luck as it's not my problem the seller got the postage wrong.

So sellers need to either charge a flat rate or calculate before buyer pays.

If calculated postage is not an option, you use rate tables.
