Do you have a receipt with the weight of the parcel on it?

Re: How to dispute a judgement made by eBay

Very recently I had a buyer open a request with an allegation of only receiving one of seven DVDs. They confirmed that the parcel had arrived undamaged, intact, and with no signs of tampering. There was no AP tape anywhere on the parcel, and the original eBay Plus tape I had used was unbroken.

This nutter was seriously trying it on. They stated in the request that someone had removed 6 DVDs from inside the parcel while in transit - without even opening it mind you 😂

After uploading tracking, the request was closed in the buyer's favour.... and they left me an unwarranted red dot saying I am a scammer who takes their money and doesn't ship the items.

Needless to say, I contacted an agent via chat and asked for the defect to be removed from my account. After sharing all the relevant details - again - they agreed that the request should have been closed in my favour. The defect was removed, the funds returned to my account, and the red dot disappeared, all within an hour.

There was an added bonus in that the buyer concerned is no longer registered.

Just as in my situation, your first course of action would be to contact an agent to appeal the defect and go from there. Just click on the "Help" hyperlink which can be found at the top and or bottom of every page and follow the prompts.

A new one for eBay - who usually - well - more than usually side with the buyer.

None of that proves that there were actually 7 dvds in the parcel received.

Bit of a stretch though saying only 1 arrived.
