How to overturn ebays selling ban?

Hi Guys

I recently sold afew items that were counterfeit, and now my selling account is banned or as ebay puts it my selling $ amount limit is zero.

I didnt know the items were copies, i emailed the supplier in China and they said it was genuine and i went with that. Then the original , genuine supplier contacted ebay and then my selling account was cancelled.

Im asking does anyone know away around this? I have asked ebay to reconsider taking into account the above but theyve said no. Anything else i can do?

Have a look at this link about the VERO program on ebay.

From what I can see and know about it the onus is 100% on the seller to make 110% certain that they items they are selling obey all the rules.

I can't see how you will be able to overturn this decision.

Be 100% suspicious about anything coming out of China that claims to be genuine. I think in such cases always best to contact the original licence holder before you buy any stock and ask them where are their validated sources of manufacture/supply.

China is the country where "copy is king".

They have motor cycles all over the place over there called "Honwa" and "Yamawa". They look for all the world just like the real McCoy but are def's not.

This was exactly the same item, name and packaging as the original genuine article.

I mean exact.

A few is maybe half a dozen items.

I've learnt my lesson if there is no way of being reinstated.

I once looked at selling Pandora beads and charms.

I researched extensiveley and found a supplier.

Yes, I did all the business checks for the company, and even asked Pandora if these people were in fact authorized resellers.

Pandora told me thAT THEY WERE oops

I went ahead and ordered my first shipment, before they arrived however, Pandora contacted me back and told me they had withdrawn their authorization from that supplier as they now made their own fake "Pandora beads" and mainly siold those, not just the Pandora beads.

Obviously, i took that straight to PayPal and was reimbursed, so I dodged a bullet.

When the items arrived, they were indeed cheap imitation **bleep**, that even I could tell were dodgy....

I knew to check and double check and then check again, others may not and believe what they see - the people who got me were certainly genuine in appearance and as I said had every approval they needed and even aYUTHORIZTION FROM pANDORA THEMSELVES. oops

Some people will undoubtedly get caught out.

So I reckon I can give the OP the benefit of the doubt in this instance, that they didn't set out to deceive, as it could very well have been me. I just got lucky.

I sometimes sell 'fake' coins, that have COPY printed on both sides and I list them as not being the genuine thing. They are normally hard to get or really expensive items, like the 1930 Penny. I point out in the ad that the word copy appears on both sides of the coin to show they are not genuine and photograph that part as well. I offer them has spacefillers for people who want their collections to look complete. Am I allowed to do that? I originally bought them on ebay in bulk. People who have bought them have always seemed to be very happy with them and they always showed a lot of interest. I still have a few here that I was planning on listing eventually, but don't want to if it's going to get my account suspended!

I would say as long as you make it quite clear they are non-genuine then you should be ok.
