I actually said what we all wish we could say to certain idiot buyers!

So last week I sold a pair of tops. From the beginning this buyer was a pain in the rear. Around 7pm they asked for measurements (after purchase) and wanted it sent registered. At 8pm, when I hadn't replied within that hour, after hours, they sent another message asking me to reply. Apparently I should be available and by my computer at all hours of the night. (of course, they took 3 days to pay...)

Then yesterday she messages to me tell me there are 3 different issues with the tops. Now I will be the first to admit that I do miss things occasionally, I sell second hand and sometimes an item gets past me in the sorting process. But 3 different issues, issues with both the tops she recieved, and I missed all of them? I'm skeptical.

Nonetheless, I ask for pics, and if they show the damage I would have refunded without return, no problem. But she sends a snarky message saying nevermind, because she read the refund policy and doesn't want to pay return postage (I suspect she was looking at a paypal refund, not an ebay refund). I would have corrected her and advised her that I wouldn't have needed the items returned, but then she sent another message just being plain rude about how this is totally unacceptable and I need to never screw up, basically. I decided at that point that, even if I did refund her, I'm probably still going to get a negative, and she's not providing any pics, so I'm just going to ignore her because I don't need to deal with rude people, and I'll cop the neg and defect. I still don't think she's telling the truth about the damage in the first place.

But, then, this morning, when she sends a message saying "Before I do feedback ebay suggests I contact seller, Any ideas on what you think I should write?"

Well maybe I'm PMSing but that is just plain obnoxious! I've had it with this buyer, I'm going to get negged no matter what I do at this point so why not just tell her what I think of her. I thought you guys might get a laugh out of someone telling a buyer what many of us wish we could.

-----------------------------

I'm not sure what you want me to do. You have said you don't want to send the items back, and have not provided any photos of the items (which can be attached to ebay messages via the 'attach photos' button,). I'm guessing what you're trying to get from me is a refund without return, but I'm not going to do that without at least seeing pictures of the damage you are claiming, as, from the images I have here, there's no evidence of any of what you're saying. Some buyers will buy items, then claim there is a non-existent problem in order to get a refund, which is why you need to prove your claims.

Usually I am quite happy to help customers when there is an issue, but from the beginning of this transaction you have been rude and snarky. When I didn't reply to your message within an hour, after business hours I'll add, you were badgering. You have been snarky about this situation, your message yesterday re-emphasizing how the situation wasn't acceptable topped it off (I am aware it is unacceptable, and apologised for it, and was attempting to fix it). Then today you send this message, which I can only read as sarcastic and rude again... to be quite frank I have no inclination to help you. This isn't like a retail store where you can go and abuse the cashier and they will bend over backwards to help you because store policy says so. If you had been polite, had a little understanding, and assisted the process by providing the necessary proof of an issue I would have been more than happy to refund without you even returning the items, as I have in past incidents where I missed damage on an item. But, at this point, I've accepted I'm probably going to get a negative and defect from you no matter what, and I have little interest in helping you after your attitude towards me.

So. write what you like on the feedback, it doesn't bother me at this point. I have better things to do than worry about than bullies.

------------------------------

Come on negative! Whatever, I'm about due for one, I haven't had a defect in 3 months now! I was on a roll, but it had to come to an end at some point, and at least here, I didn't have to just take it.

Sometimes raw honesty is the best way to go.

And you still did it politely. Thumbs up to you.

Give the lady a gold star!!!!!!! You are brilliant! The turnip will probably not be game to leave feedback now. if she does, make sure you put her ID in the reply so we can all see who it is and take appropriate action. Go You!!!

Well done !  Factual and not abusive. I'll add another gold star !

These bullies need to be stopped.  Sometimes you can call their bluff, (I'm pretty sure I did recently - was fully expecting a Red dot, but so far haven't received one) but if you do get a Defect, much as it is time consuming, with all the facts and Buyers refusal to send photos etc, I would be getting onto eBay to have it removed.  I think the only way we might see change to the pathetic defect system is if every one of us requests Defect removal every time we are hit with an unfair one.

I hope you have shut her up & that you don't get a red dot or defect Smiley Happy  (Keep us posted as to the outcome)

GOOD ON YOU ๐Ÿ™‚

I wish I'd done that a couple of years ago .... it was the very first negative I have ever had  ...  and I was SOOO upset (It was completely undeserved and untrue - she said the items had stains)    I sent a really nice email .... refunded her money without getting the item returned (I've learned since then !!!!) and asked her to retract the feedback.

Boy !   did I cop a serve !!   She told me I should learn from HER feedback (SHE  had a feedback score of 3 ) and accused me of bullying her into changing the feedback (SHE DIDN'T CHANGE IT).

So I achieved nothinng .... lost my money on the refund .... and still had negative feedback.

You have excellent feedback, and your buyers can see through people like this.  I should have done what you did and rise above negative feedback from losers !!

Don't worry .... we know how good you are ๐Ÿ™‚

That response was alot more tame than what I've wanted to say to idiot buyers.

Nice work.

I had a buyer who complained I had sent her item. She had purchased the wrong one and wanted to cancel but it had left the bulding.

She went off her nut that I wasn't sitting at the pc 24/7 to see she wanted to cancel it before it left, because apparently that's what an online business should do.

I told her that occasionally I sleep and even more occasionally go to pee. Smiley Tongue

Copped a neg but knew I was going to anyway and it felt gooooood!

I am just waiting for the buyer to find her way to the boards to complain about rude sellers.

Now that would be a thread worth reading.Smiley Very Happy
