Since last Wednesday, I have been unable to complete my selling of items. ebay has said that there is a bug in my system "for looping within the 'sell your item' flow". should I hire a technician to sort this out?
This is the 4th day of waiting!
Please advise a nervous newbie.

I've tried entering the data on Firefox, IE and Google chrome. No progress. Do you think I should just hire someone to come to my computer and fix it, or should I wait for ebay to iron it out for me? Can you pick up bugs by looking through other peoples selling pages? If this is the case, shouldn't eBay clean it up for me?

Thanks for all your suggestions. If I have picked up a bug from looking through other people's selling pages on eBay, shouldn't eBay fix this issue for me. Are they likely to keep trying for me, as they have said they would, or should I hire someone to fix it for me?

You wouldn't pick up a bug from viewing other selling pages.
If it is to do with your computer, it is more likely from not having anti virus or your settings are not set to best protect against malware, adware, or certain bugs picked up from other sites that sit in cookies or in start up sometimes. Also browsers on your computer can remember certain things that may create a loop.
Did you try listing from another computer, friends, relatives, library etc?

Thanks again for prompt replies. I'm fairly new to computers and very new to eBay. I'm relieved that I wouldn't pick up a bug from viewing other selling pages. The eBay technician reply to my query gave me reason to thin k that it might be the case. Do you think eBay will help me to remove a bug or should I hire someone?

It sounds like you need to buy a subscription to a virus protection program such as Norton 360 or similar. Costs around $100 per year and is well worth it as it does daily updates that will keep your computer clean. Can a family member help you?

But have you cleared your caches and cookies? Rebooted your computer?
Try those before starting to look for bugs, as they are the usual fixes.
Do you have an anti-virus program? A firewall. Run scans if so. If not get one - I use Avast Free. This won't pick up all malware, so you might like to try a malware checker as well. The last thing I would be doing would be paying somebody to fix a problem when you haven't checked all the easy fixes first.

Thanks for your suggestions. I have cleared the cookies, I do have adequate anti-virus. I still can't get off the' create your item' page, and I'm still waiting on eBay tech support to get back to me.
I have three listings waiting to be placed and have gone to a lot of trouble to prepare them.
I'm not happy! What next?
