Hi all,
I have a buyer that has purchased a bunch of items. I have been trying to send an invoice with combined postage for over 24 hours and keep getting message "something has gone wrong, please try again later"
Anyone else having this issue?
Suggestions?

If you have any promotions running, you can't send an invoice for combined postage. If you offer a mix of 'free' and separate postage, you can't. If you offer 'free' postage, you can't. You need to setup postage rules to cover that.
Your best bet, if the buyer has paid, is to refund the excess, less fees.
If the buyer hasn't paid, contact them, tell them you will cancel, cancel and relist as a single listing at an agreed price.. Make sure you get the buyers agreement before you start cancelling, though.

I would just refund the excess. When I have a buyer who purchases several items and the postage comes in way higher than needed, I let the buyer know. This way they firstly have contact from me thanking them for their purchase and secondly, telling them that I will refund once I have been to the PO and seen the final weight/cost makes them happy.
I do wish though, that Ebay would be more clear on what the issue is when postage combinations won't work.
Putting a generic pop up screen would enlighten the seller and would save a lot of aggravation/confusion.

Keep in mind, if you do a partial refund you won’t be given a credit in the fees for the partial refund. From May 2022 eBay will start issuing a credit on partial refunds
