Hi,
I have had this whinge whenever I talk to ebay about any queries I need answers to, the operator always goes there there, if enough people complain maybe ebay won't make all these new changes.
I just got glared at by the new format for the feedback page.
It is way too bright and irritating this time of night, or any other time to be honest.
Just having a whinge.....or to quote Charlie Brown "Sigh"

You can see by the number beside it what the score is.
Clicking just tells you the average score.
I don't want to know that he has 251 feedback for postage - I want to know his performance on postage - previously if a seller had a bad postage feedback record - you could see at a glance - he would have only 4 stars for example and the other one would be grayed out.

But, if he had 251 for postage but 256 for description (or something else), that would tell you that his postage is carp.
I've always looked at the numbers and compared them, so, for me, it's no biggie, I guess.

Besides, in the long run, DSR's mean nothing these days.
Nope, you can only see how many buyers left a star rating if you don't click on them, not what score they left. If you want to know the average score you HAVE to click on the number. As it just opens a little window with the average score it's not a lot of work - much less work than trying to fix a problem with a dodgy seller later.

So the fact that I have 252 for description, 251 for postage speed, 249 for communication and 248 for postage costs means my postage cost and communication are carp???
In my experience, people leave stars for what they feel are the most important aspects of their purchase, which are description and speed of posting. Communication is fairly irrelevant for most transactions as there generally isn't any, and postage costs are displayed up front unless a person buys more than one item from a seller.
Check most sellers' feedback and you'll find that they've received more ratings for description than anything else, and less for postage costs.

Consider yourself lucky if you get any feedback from buyers these days. Our average is 1 in 10 sales in both our stores but we do give feedback to every buyer 30 days after transaction. A rule we imposed some time ago in the event you give positive feedback to a buyer who then turns around and opens a return or gives you some unfair feedback.
I wonder if eBay have beta testers of new formats before they release them to their unsuspecting 'customers' ? My impression of all the format changes is to make the site more mobile friendly for touch screens where all the buying now comes from.

Yeah I don't like the new feedback format either. If something's not broke, why fix it? Well it is broken but they fixed the wrong part 😉

I find that I don't mind the new feedback page format, although the previous format was also fine.
However, the very fact that eBay's IT / website designers have clearly spent time redesigning that page, when other aspects of the site are in dire need of fixing, speaks not only volumes, but entire libraries, about eBay's IT priorities.
