...all my listings on both id's have the auto relist feature ticked.
So when I accepted the 1000 free listing offer last weekend, I did as I have done previously - bulk relisted. Time being something I'm pretty short of, I figured, great, now I don't have to worry about anything for a month.
100 odd finished today, and somehow the auto relist feature has now been unticked - but not by me.
eBay is trying to tell me I never ticked it, even though they can see on their history that I have relisted these items many times before, and the auto relist was ticked.
I just relisted about 20 items on my other id. Checked, did a pretend revise, and the auto relist feature is ticked. So a glitch on my main account.
Anyone else had this happen this weekend?

Tippy, one day listings are the hallmark of scammers. It is a definite warning sign, especially if the items are rather expensive.

Ahhh, OK, so maybe I need a bit more of a reputation before they allow it on my newer account. That would make sense. I've still got less than 10 feedback and nothing is over $30.
Maybe I should try doing what is mentioned in Cushions latest thread (0 feedback, multimillion pound items).

Yup! Definitely a scammer with my less that 10 feedback and less than $30 items. Go me! Although, I do have a postage cost on my items, real scammers usually always have free postage. Maybe that just makes me an apprentice scammer.

I knew that once listed, you can't reduce the duration to 1 day (the lowest is 3 days). There were a couple I forgot to change the duration from 10 days and noticed straight away. I had to end them and relist because it wouldn't let me go lower than 3 days.
Speaking of 3 days, my newest account won't let me list any less than 3 days regardless. I've got a limit of 30 on that account, but only have 12 things listed. I wanted to run 2 of them as 1 day auctions for the whole month, but I couldn't, so they're running as 3 days.
You need to train yourself to change the duration on everything to 1 day as you bulk relist. I'm assuming there are no anomalies that stop you from bulk changing to 1 day while you're doing the bulk relist.
My newest account couldn't schedule anything at first, nor could it do short durations, but it wasn't long before they changed it. I can't remember how long it took because it was a while ago now, but I only listed a few odd things on that account for quite a while. I had lots of buying feedback before I started selling on it so my account didn't 'look' quite as new as it was as far as selling went.
About 12 years ago I bought something that was on 1 day, or rather I got a friend in England to buy it. The seller was a bit strange and we wondered whether we'd do our money but our item arrived two days later. I think the seller just didn't have a clue what they were doing. They certainly didn't know what it was they were selling. We paid 5gbp and promptly resold it for 90gbp and split the money between us (I found it, she did the work).

Good link.
Also from that link, Tippy -
For a one-day listing, you must have a Feedback score of at least five. If you don't meet this requirement, you won't see the one-day option when you list an item.

I missed that bit about 1-day listings but I had a one track mind at the time.
The bit about two hours isn't strictly true because you can revise to a shorter time later on providing there's enough time left to cover the shorter duration + 24 hours (I think). I've been editing to longer durations for years now - it seems to be one of the few things ebay hasn't tinkered with!

Ahhh, very good, I hadn't got to reading the link yet. That would explain why. No way I could run one day auctions all the time, I'd have no listings after 4 days on my larger accounts! I only do them during promotions. I was only going to run a couple on the new account for exposure. Capture the attention of those who search using ending soonest or newly listed.
Once things settle down here a bit, I'll crack on and use up my listing limit on that account, rather than just have a few cheaper items on there.
