Hey all,
About a month ago, I sold a card for about $50 and send it as a tracked letter. However, the tracking number didn't work. Being registered post, it had no QR code to scan and I had to put it in manually. My silly self put in RRP instead of RPP and then spent days coming back multiple times to double check the numbers, without realizing it was an error in the letters.
The buyer put in a claim that the card had not been delivered, opened a case with Ebay and got their money back. The case was then closed. It was *after* this that I realized I has the letter wrong and then I put the correct ones in, looked up the tracking and it showed the item as delivered a few days after I posted it and well before the buyer had put in the false claim that they hadn't received it.
After discovering this, about 12 days ago now, I put in another claim and included the correct tracking number and have had absolutely no response.
Is there a way to rectify this? I feel that the person who ripped me off should be black listed and life banned from EBay on pure principal. I take great pride in packaging items well and shipping them in good time. I take this person's false claim as an insult to my integrity as a seller.
Thanks

You can try appealing, but you only have 30 calendar days to do this.
In the appeal you must upload new information (the correct tracking number)
It might work....or not.
Appeal the outcome of a case as a seller | eBay
But a lesson learned, I'd say, to be more careful next time.

A "claim" with whom?

That's somewhat extreme.
How do you know the buyer has the item?
There are thousands of threads where tracking shows delivered yet the buyer has not received the item.
Perhaps in future take more "pride" in entering the correct tracking details.

Little to no hope. Sometimes you mess up. Learn from it, adapt, fix process etc.
I bought a Zebra barcode scanner few years ago. Must have used it with 30,000 shipments and never had a single barcode scanning error.
