I have been Threatened

ive sold an item and now the person who bought it has broken it and wants a refund after 1 week...i said no as they have damaged the item and i will give a part refund(not full)...they are not happy and have threated to break my legs,send bikies over,throw bricks at my house windows and basically threated to bash me if i dont give full refund...please note that these are 16 year old kids that had a fake address and contact details on ebay so i only have their phone number and also rego plates of their mums care(when she drove them to pickup item from my place)

What would you do in this situation?

they paid cash on pickup

im not worried about money here even if i lose $140...to me its more of holding me to ranson by threatening me and if i give in cause of this it makes me feel less of a human....it only gives them power to do it again to someone else...i have always stood my ground and i have never let anyone tell me what i should and shouldnt do in way of bullying..why should i start now after 38 years

If you tell eBay everything including they're 16 hopefully eBay will do something about it too.

ebay cant do anything here....this is now a problem outside of ebay!!...its not like ebay will send soldiers to my house to guard me...:)

what's to say they won't do it again even if you do refund. Have you seen the actual damage or did they just tell you it has broken? I wouldn't refund a cent.

Just keep all the evidences and report them, to ebay, to paypal, and also to your local police.

Most of these idiots act tough, like they are gangsters or something, but once police step in they all run away like b*tches.

I wouldn't refund a cent either, even if it was damaged when they picked it up that would be their responsibility as there is no buyer protection for pick up items, they are sold As Is even if they pay with Paypal.

If you think the threats are real then you should take all the details you have to the police, I would suspect it is all hot air, if they really knew a gang of bikers they would have been straight round demanding the money in person.

I would probably tell them to have their biker friends meet my gang at (insert name of local park) to resolve the problem.

I'm with harley on this one do not give them a cent. you must not give in to bullying. They sound like a couple of 16 year old d---head kids trying to pull a fast one, probally planned to do this right from the start and have maybe done this before. make official report to the police, I am sure they would pay a visit for a little chat.
