I have ebay plus but can't get plus status when I add postage to an item

I have a paid Ebay Plus subscription and I can get free postage when buying.  I thought one of the perks was that you could charge postage but it would be free to other Plus members.  

My problem is that I can't get the plus badge on some my for sale items unless I offer free postage yet is works fine on other listings.

Does anyone know why this is ?  Ebay were not able to explain this.

eBay plus is applied by eBay to whichever listings they want to qualify, and a seller being a Plus member themselves doesn't affect anything, or increase the liklihood.

Most items with a purchase price of under $15 but with postage listed separately, will not qualify for Plus.  You'll notice the one Plus listing you have with postage listed separately is priced at $16.80.

OK thanks, that explains it, I usually only sell at low prices so most of my items won't qualify
