This kid seems to have ignored ebay policies altogether and even goes public!!

A 14-year-old entrepreneur has built up an online toy shop from his family's milking parlour - and now turns over £15,000 (AU $26,927 and NZ $ 28,296)) a year.

Schoolboy Tommy Howard officially launched shop Dog In A Box on eBay last year - named after his pet pooch Oreo.

Stocking 1,000 products that he ships all over the world when he gets home from school, he never takes a day off.

Did ebay stuff up, did he lie when joining....what?

it worked this morning, but his glove item doesn’t come up now . . . . . strange.

He has not been shut down, yet, and still has 143 items listed . . . . . including the glove listing.

All of the contact details are also in the listings so perhaps ebay uk allows kiddies to sell on ebay lol as long as you're making money for ebay then who cares.

You're right!

I didn't see the contact details.

Why aren't ebay UK paranoid about off ebay sales?

There's all sorts of wrong things goin' on here.

In the UK if you are registered as a business seller and have a VAT number it seems it will show the all the details. I see it all the time as hubby buys a lot of Beatles items from UK

Ooh........just to be off topic.   smiling happy face.gif

Look what I've got.

Beatles Concert Ticket Stub.jpg

1964 - hubby's ticket.  But not for sale.

Back on topic, it's not fair they can have their details in the listing.

What if I have an ABN and registered as a business seller?

They still don't allow any contact details here.

They are not allowed to be - it's part of the EU Distance Selling Regulations that a seller's full contact details be prominently displayed; they are not allowed to be things like PO box addresses, either.

This is why there's services over there that basically lease a pseudo-address (on paper / internet page only) to use for such purposes. It's a real address, like an office suite in a building somewhere, but not where the seller genuinely lives or conducts business.
