Buyer claimed non receipt a week after due delivery date and opened an INR case. Responded to buyer saying the floods in FNQ had likely delayed delivery, but regardless I immediately send a replacement.
Followed up with a further 2 messages to buyer about status of receipt but no reply. Being relatively low cost goods they were sent by regular mail
Not long after eBay stepped in an closed the case in favour of the buyer.
The buyer has done very nicely! Still not the courtesy of a response!
From now on I do not send replacements and just refund the buyer, this avoids a transaction defect.

By issuing a refund, not only do you avoid the defect, but your obligations under the MBG have also been met.
This means that any negative/neutral feedback qualifies for removal as well.
