Increasing number of NPB in cars auctions...

Sold my car last week, bidder was 1900klms away and did not pay or pick up ( will be able to close NPB dispute tomorrow ).

Relisted it again last Friday ( another $8 insertion fee for eBay ) and it sold last night ( buyer is again 2000klms away ).

Buyer emailed and said he will pick it up tonight ( time will tell ).

Anyhow, I am wondering do eBay still have the three strikes and your out rule ? Even so, doesnt the time waster have the opportunity to just open a new eBay account or does the 3 strikes get wiped and stuck with that old account?

eBay really need to look at taking some other course of action to help stop this.

But they certainly dont refund the insertion fee of which is $8 in cars !

Its ( eBay fees ) a rort.

The $8.00 fee is not a rort if you compare it to a vehicle auctioneer who charges over $100.00 to sell a vehicle.

But multiple insertion fees could add up to $100.
It is a rort, why cant eBay refund all the fees of unpaid items?
Also...
The " block bidders with strikes " doesnt really seem completely helpful, it only allow us to block bidders with one strike and also only within up to the last 12 months.
Dont we all want to block bidders that have had even one unpaid item? It is a legally binding contract so if you bid you must pay, simple as that !
And if a bidder has 100 unpaid item strikes just over 12 months ago they can still bid on your item, not fair.
Then to top it all off any turkey can simply bid here and bid there, not pay here and not pay there, get 100 npb strikes and then open a new account.
That is eBays downfall. Along with massively excessive fees, ripping off sellers with non refunds of unpaid item fees, not allowing sellers to leave appropriate ( negative ) feedback for buyers and now for not allowing bidders to effectively block bad buyers.
