International Postage

Hi Guys,

Am thinking of turning to International customers to expand a little, anyone here know off top of their head what a Large letter (normal DL size) under 50grams and less than 20mm thick would cost to anywhere in the world?

Thank you in advance
Shaun

Is that the rate to anywhere in the world or just to where you sent it =]

That's anywhere in the world, though some locations are cheaper. Bear in mind that that has no tracking or paypal seller protection, so you probably don't want to use it for expensive items.

Takes a massive jump to about $23 so I just take the risk, very little actually goes missing

Holy... wow.. yeah on items that are only ~$10 I think the risk is worth it.

Thank you all so very much.

if its the iphone cases, you'll need to put a customs declaration on them as ''letter post'' is only for letters, so make sure you check with your PO about the customs forms and they must be posted over the counter, not in a red street box.

I just grab a handful of the custom forms (CN22) from the postoffice and stick them on anything which is not a letter or paper

I also use a lot of the 16mm boxes from eb-packaging as they fit through the PO guage

I have sent hundreds and hundred of 'letters' overseas without a customs form. Inside were bulky items within the 20mm requirement, all in normal sized envelopes.
I started off doing it the 'proper' way, then I got sick of having to drive to the post office, line up for ages and show ID, all just to post a letter OS. So I started skipping the customs form and just dropped it into my Red Street post box at the end of my street.
In those few years every customer received their item. I was posting them to the US and Canada. Items worth around $50.
So just something to keep in mind if you are sick of the hassle.
