Is anyone else having issue with checkout & paypal?

I just had a paypal payment for an ebay item, but its not showing on ebay as having gone through checkout and/or being paid. The other strange thing is that the paypal email says the transaction is not eligible for seller protection?

Seems to be ok today (29) except they have reversed payments from my account - didn't think they could do that - ringing them in the morning

Had a great buyer who kept me informed and vice verca and was lucky to just have one or two transactions during this time.

PayPal has reversed one of the payments they made (the others I refunded manually), so I'm just awaiting their re-send of the money. I'm only a small seller so it's not too bad but it is probablly very tough for high volume sellers during all of this. 😞

PP crashed 28th Jan. PP have charged my credit card, yet items are still in my cart. Nothing on summary page. Contacted PP told me to contact sellers, contacted sellers, they haven't been paid.

PP is a pain in the butt, so unhelpful. Ebay doing there best with this issue as it happened to everyone on the 28th.

Is there an alternate to PP?

Looks like be fixed. My sale now shows up in Ebay as being paid via checkout. Already had rcvd the confirmation email of payment and funds were Paypal account on Monday. But nothing via checkout.

Re: Is anyone else having issue with checkout & paypal?

I tried to pay three times and each time got a message that the transaction didn't go through. Now I find I have paid three times and the overpayments are not available to me until they have reviewed the situation.  These people need a kick in the behind for their bloody arrogance. The merchant has been most helpful but paypal/ebay are just a bunch of jerks. Even they're not a bank, they behave like bankers.

Had heaps of errors/complaints from customers this morning.

One paid 4 times. It appears PayPal has automatically reversed these payments. All of them. Yet, it is still showing up on our "paid/ready to be shipped" list.

SELLERS please check that you've been paid before processing orders.

PAYPAL-PEESMELL

i tried to pay a seller and now when i click pay now it takes me to paypal..the one time payment option seems to have been removed.so now they are not just forcing sellers to have a peesmell account now buyers have to join this 3rd world bank site.in which i refuse.i used to have a account until they ripped me off..

PAYPAL SCAM

any buyer can lodge a claim for a item they bought and can give any reason at all.even if the seller proves something they still refund the buyer.we still pay the transaction fees and hit with a 30.00 fee. also the item if bought from overseas doesnt have to be returned.and them we sellers cop a triple whammy they get their money back..this has happened to me twice now..

last year somehow paypal paid a seller from uk $244.00 and  they have chased me for the money continuously phone calls mobile and home.i have had to change both numbers..i bought a heap of autographs from uk.and i had asked the seller to cancel sale in which he was going to do..instead i recieved heaps from peesmell stating i owe them..as i said there was no money in my bank nor paypal..i have followed this up with a solicitor and they tell me i am not liable for the money they paid.i still recieved the autographs.in which i have asked paypal many times where i send them to..paypal address as they bought them not me.i want to return them to the purchaser.not once did they give me the address.just chase me for money i never paid nor couldnt.as my bank account was overdrawn with a debt. i had to pay.this is why i cancelled purchase with seller which was ok.

SO WHAT I HAVE DONE IS OPEN ANOTHER BANK ACCOUNT.i have 2 cards accounts.
and if i need to pay for something i transfer the amount from my main account to the new account to  use as a safety precaution paying  peesmell.or for onling payments including bills purchases playing safe.
AS OTHERS SHOULD ALSO DO...

LISTEN TO THIS ONE
.
ebay state as a seller we need to have 1 safe means of payment..i opened a paymate account as i was told i could use it.
and guess what  paymate is not classed as a safe means by them..this is how ebay and other half paypal double dip..
it is a 3rd world bank.not a accepted type of main bank..they have their own rules and want to control sellers money and now buyers as well.

all you have to do type in google search paypal rip off or payopal scams.and you willhave at least 1 years reading continuosly 24 hours a day 7 days per week .  there is another site like ebay just not as popular but is getting there it is called QUICKSALES-used to be named OZTION their fees are a lot better and dont force their sellers to use paypal but some do offer it as a means of payment ,

as well as paymate.all they take is a 2.4% final fee if item sells.all the listings are free for as long as you like and is totally australian all monies stay in australia and not off shore like paypal..pictures free everything is free just a small final fee that is all.

Re: Is anyone else having issue with checkout & paypal?

1, The item probably has instant payment set. Which means pay by Paypal. Blame the seller.

I'm sure your solicitor will be happy with the money you pay him/her when Paypal hauls you into court. You obviously did by the autographs as you received them.

There are sellers here who offer Paymate and no Paypal, so obviously Paymate is acceptable to eBay.

QS FVF is 2% not 2.4%. And there are unfortunately less buyers there than here.
