Sellers like this are the reason I always check feedback before buying.........so I don't buy from them. I'd rather pay a bit extra for better service.

With due respect putney32, I did a little search through OP's FB and had to get to page 6 (or 7) to find the negative FB for this month. All other feedback was extremely POSITIVE, and with a polite 'Thanks' from OP. I didn't bother goiing back any further because out of 200 odd positives, and 1 neg,, I believe your response a bit over the top.
Okay he may have made those comments in the earlier 6 months period - but my opinion is that you shouldn't try and crucify a seller due to 6 negs - as you have no idea YOURSELF as to what pains in the rear end those buyers possibly were.
I know I'm not answering OP's question, but I seriously think that a lot of posters have to back off a bit. Too quick to jump in and criticise when you don't know what has actually gone on between seller and buyer.
Haven't there been enough posts on these boards in recent weeks regarding BUYERS WHO LEAVE UNFAIR FEEDBACK, TRASHING DSR's, or JUST WANT TO GET TO KEEP THEIR ITEM AND GET PAYPAYL REFUND (Seller loses item and Money)!!!

Kazam I'm not referring to the negs the OP has (I do know how unwarranted some neg are), however, it is the way in which a Seller Reacts/Responds to such negatives that shows their true colours. Bagging a ''buyer'' be they good or bad, who leaves a neg. is not the way to show yourself as a good seller.
the comments I quoted were all responses left by the OP (seller) .. not a god look
~~ ~~ ~~ Those who do right, have nothing to fear.

Truly amazing thread. A shining example of someone who wants something for nothing. I wish I could get compensation for every "unfair" thing in my life. I would never have to sell a thing again. So E-Bay is treating you unfair? I'm sure you have written the power company, goverment and everyone else who treated you "unfair" also. So many people come on here whining like 2 year olds it's amazing. At the end of the day, stop whinging and go somewhere else to sell. It's not really a rocket science when you think about it. My wife and I have been selling on Ebay since 1998 and while we don't agree with a lot of the changes, it's OUR decision to keep selling on here. When it gets that bad we have to start carrying on like pork chops we'll get off. And we WON"T find the need to have to announce it to everyone when we do.
I was under the impression that these threads were about helping people and not about being an outlet to let personal frustrations out on.
Don't get me wrong, I have seen a lot of folks helped out. It would be nice to see it returned to that.

Sadly, we now live in a society where people want to sue people or get compensation for just getting out of bed of a morning. There is no personal responsibility now, it's always someone else's fault, regardless of what it is. Someone stubs their toe on the bottom shelf at a supermarket and want to sue them because there were no signs up warning them that there was a risk of stubbing toes on the bottom shelf. It really is getting out of control.
The really sad thing is, that's how people are raising their kids these days. Kids fall off their bike and the parents want to sue the manufacturer. I don't know where it's going to end.

I know this is off the beaten path ILove My Sheep but I was a carpet installer for 25 years. I did one whole house in very expensive carpet and during the conversations asked what they did for a living. Their responce was they sued people for a living. They were making in excess of 100K a year sueing people. This thread reminded me of them. Very sad.

I check sellers negs (if they have any) by clicking on the total in the 'recent feedback ratings' area. I don't trawl through feedback looking for them. A sellers response to neg fb says a lot about them.

Okay, accept what your are saying - just that everyone seems to jump too quickly on a question these days. It's been getting up my nose a lot. So apologies if you thought I was having a go.

Actually kazam, you were having a go at putney....unjustly so IMO. Nobody had to trawl through feedback to find the negatives and no-one was questioning whether they were justified. The only comments were referring to the OP's inappropriate followup comments.
You say were are jumping too quickly on a question....just what is the OP's question for us to jump on? Can the OP claim compensation for unfair treatment? Probably yes, if he can find a legal eagle who will act for him. BUT what has happened that is unfair to him and has not happened to other sellers. And is it so unfair that he wants to spend big $$$$$ in the hope of winning some sort of compensation from ebay?

No Lyndal, incorrect. I was not having a go at Putney, and did put up an apology if that was thought to be the case.
With regard to what you consider to be the OP's inappropriae comments. I will repeat what I said above, that no-one knows what occurred between seller and buyer, and OP's comments may well have been appropriate to those particular buyers. Not yours or anyone else's sale, so no one has any idea of what went on behind the scenes.
These threads are awash with sellers 'wanting to leave negative feedback', non-paying bidders. unpaid item disputes, and the list could go on for a long time.
I just get heartily sick and tired of sellers having a go at other sellers who are (or believe they are) working their little behinds off to make a living, have a problem, and get the proverbial bucket of *bleep* dumped on them when they ask a question here.
BTW - I have no idea, and I'm assuming no one else has, of what on earth the OP was referring to regarding compensation. I do notice he hasn't been back here to clarify what his problem is, or what sort of compensation he was seeking.
