If the items were sent with tracking, which I'm guessing they were given they'd have been sent as a parcel, RING PayPal and let them know the items have been delivered, as per the tracking. Give them the tracking numbers to check and they should release the funds while you are on the phone.
In future, if you upload the tracking numbers into the transaction in PayPal as well as eBay, it should automatically release the funds a few days after showing as delivered. If not, just give them a call. Once the hold has been lifted (after about 3 months and so many transactions I believe), you only need to load them up into eBay if you want to (some people don't, but these days it makes sense to, to avoid postage defects).
