Item paid through paypal but no email and no transaction on Paypal

Hi guys,

I have never seen it before or at least I have never noticed anything like this before. I sold an item today at 5am which sems to be marked as payment received on ebay and it even shows a Paypal transaction ID on ebay. However I have not received any email from Paypal about the payment and I cannot see this transaction on my paypal account.

If I try to search for the same trasaction ID on paypal nothing can be found,. If I click on Payment details on ebay it shows me a paypal page that says it is ok to ship but when I go to may paypal activity pages it is not there at all. So at this point it looks to me that both paypal and ebay tell me it is paid without even adding this payment to my paypal balance. 

I will cal Paypal tomorrow but just want to ask here has anybody seen anything like this?

If it is not the first time and it can happen sometime it means that we as sellers are not getting paid and just tricked by paypal/ebay that we are.

Same thing happening to me the past 24 hours. Some are crediting, some are not. I don't receive notification email, the money does not show up in my Paypal account. BUT on the Ebay side, there is a transaction # and item shows paid, even though it really hasn't credited to my Paypal account. I emailed Paypal but will have to call today. All transactions that are not crediting do have transaction #s though, making it more confusing.

Same thing happened to me yesterday.

eBay says it is paid via Paypal and should be posted, but there is no credit of the amount to my Paypal balance and no email from Paypal saying it has been paid.

It happened at about 5pm, 12 hours later, still no credit for that amount in my Paypal account and no email from Paypal saying it has been paid.

I will call them today and try and find out what is happening.

must be a paypal glitch. i bought and paid for an item saturday (now monday) but paypal transaction is not showing even though payment was taken out of my account... no email showing payment made but beside the bought item it shows $ sign which means paid. ??? i just asked the seller if they got the paypal payment... see what happens.

just rang paypal and apparently loads of their customers are having paypal issues. will be resolved soon im told.

Yup sold 6 items since yesterday. All showing as paid in ebay but only 2 have shown in paypal with money. The others are still floating out in the big black void.  Pretty poor response time to fix it but I expect nothing better from Pay Pal.

OMG! a GLITCH with PP/EBAY?

thats almost unheard of!

i'm sure they have their mr fix-it guy working around the clock (do they have clocks in mumbai?) to cure it.

we may get phone calls alerting us to a problem with our computers.

Paypal has just confirmed it is a "cosmetic issue" on "my end" and it may be fixed within 48 hours. They have told me it is ok to ship but I am not going to until I see the payment. They have aslo confirmed that they have received calls from other sellers over the last weekend about the same issue.

Funny things, they say it is on "my end" and "it is cosmetic issue" which seems to be a strange way for avoiding  any resposobilities for their problems.

And not funny thing, what goblins work for phone paypal support. A lady from Paypal was absolutelly impolite  from the beginning, like I owe her something. She did not listen to what I was asking and was angry that she needed to repeat something. Even though she did not need to repeat anythng  as my questions were not heard and left  unanswered.

I do not know why I am still with this company of impolite clowns while my bank is offering two times less for credit card payment processing.

No it is not. However if it had been it would have been still be shown as a paypal transaction.

I rang Paypal about this, as the amount is still not showing in my Paypal account.

They assured me the money had been paid and had been credited to my account.

They said another way to view your Paypal transactions is as follows:

Go to Paypal resolution centre.

Click on Orange box that says Report A Problem.

Summary list of recent transactions will then appear.

On this summary list I could see the transaction in question, although it still does not appear on my Paypal activity statement.

They said the money had been credited and it was all right to post.

I found the person to be helpful and friendly, maybe I got lucky.
