Hi guys,
I have never seen it before or at least I have never noticed anything like this before. I sold an item today at 5am which sems to be marked as payment received on ebay and it even shows a Paypal transaction ID on ebay. However I have not received any email from Paypal about the payment and I cannot see this transaction on my paypal account.
If I try to search for the same trasaction ID on paypal nothing can be found,. If I click on Payment details on ebay it shows me a paypal page that says it is ok to ship but when I go to may paypal activity pages it is not there at all. So at this point it looks to me that both paypal and ebay tell me it is paid without even adding this payment to my paypal balance.
I will cal Paypal tomorrow but just want to ask here has anybody seen anything like this?
If it is not the first time and it can happen sometime it means that we as sellers are not getting paid and just tricked by paypal/ebay that we are.

No, you did not just get lucky. I have been dealing with paypal for many years even before I started on ebay and I have always found them to be helpful, friendly and polite in the extreme.
I can only surmise that the members who find them rude etc are maybe not that polite themselves and are blaming the customer service rep for the problem.

See some of us are lucky and some are not. That why I do not trust Paypal. I have not been told where I can see this transaction, I have been only told many times that I as an account holder cannot see this payment but they can because of "cosmetic issue on my side" and I have heard anger from a Paypal support person. I have not been rude I have just asked too many questions. And yes I asked her to change a tone after hearing ll this for a while as I did not provoke her in any way to talk they way she did.
And as a former web deweloper I must say, there is no such thing as cosmetic issues in web development. It is a huge issue on their side because ebay through API can see this payment but a paypal account holder cannot see it directly on their website. That's the problem on their side and they need to fix it imediatelly. Unfortunatelly nothing has been fixed yet even after their "we will fix it within 48 hours" claim.
Now I have two transactions(at least) hanging in a void. I have learnt that Paypal business support treats their customers(who brings them a few $1000s a year) sometime like an annoying fly. Nothing from my previous good experince of delaing with Paypal support or somebody's else luck can change it now.

I think it is all right to post those 2 items.
If you go to resolution centre on Paypal, then click report a problem orange box, you can see your transactions there.
I took the funds out of my Paypal account a couple of days back and soon after doing it, had another transaction that was not showing up in my Paypal summary list.
But by checking the transactions through their resolution centre and working out the balance I could see that the funds HAVE been credited to my account, even though the transaction is not showing on the summary page.

Yes I am going to post them right now as it is not fair to my customers. I actually should thank you for describing a way to see these transactions on Paypal. I have read your previous message where you told how your paypal support helped you with the same problem so I checked them in resolution center right after I saw your post. I could see them three but there are no question mark next to them. I wish I was supported by the same person as you but mine did not seem to care to explain all that.
The only strange thing is that I was told by my support person that these transactions have not been added to my Paypal balance and they won't be until they stay hidden. Your support guys have made completelly opposite statement. Now we have to wonder who of them is actually right. That's why I prefer not to trust to whatever they say over the phone.
