I personally would be suspicious of someone in Victoria asking buyers to send cheques to an address in NSW. That screams scammer to me. Either you are in Vic or you are in NSW. I am also still very suspicious of you threatening to keep any down payments. I would be surprised if someone didn't report your ads for that.
As for the size of your ads, I have found from my extensive buying experience, the ads that have very little in the description, but a good title and lots of photos seem to do far better than the ones that go on with a whole head of inane waffle. All buyers really want to see is how much the item costs, what it costs to post, if you offer combined postage and how long they have to pay. They don't really care about gift wrapping or promotions because once they have received their item, they forget about you. I'm not even sure buyers would care too much about 'neatness' of packaging, they just want good packaging so nothing gets damaged.
As for the gift wrapping, no way I would want that because I would want to see the item I have bought to make sure it is in fact what I bought. Imagine getting an already wrapped gift and then the recipient opening it, only to discover there are parts missing or it's got broken in transit. No way I would be leaving feedback for an item I can't see for another 6 weeks.

Yes It is and I have stopped selling there since Last Month, as I wasn't getting any sales made., as it was getting me no where. Hence the reason I am trying eBay out. Like mentioned thanks to that individual who showed me that link I have sold on here before, because I completely forgot I did.

I am with ING Direct, they said cheques can only be sent to their bank in NSW, as they are an Online Bank only.
I do live in Victroria, but ING Direct is based in NSW. Or deposit in my account via Australia Post for that matter, if you going to do Over the counter banking.
In regards to initial 20% Deposit not refundable, is this wrong or?
So you my I am under the impression that most of you are saying less is more?
As for the gift wrapping most of you saying I should remove this from my listings is this correct?

Fair enough

Yes, it is theft. Not to mention you are threatening protentail buyers before they have even bought off you. Not everyone who backs out of a sale is a bad buyer. Circumstances change sometimes, e.g house burned down, fridge blew up, death of the person they were buying a gift for, loss of job. If I had to back out for a genuine reason like I listed, I'd have you in court to get my money back. I know you can't prove whether the buyers sob story is true, but as I said, not all buyers who have to back out are bad buyers.
Why would you need to keep the 20+% deposit?

That's what I'm saying, but that is just my opinion. Others may say differently. I think with phones you have to have all the facts and figures that go with them, like what is at the top of your ad (I could be wrong though)

I am saying that because I think it's a pointless offer. People want to see what they have bought to make sure it is all OK before they give it to the recipient. It's not like a real B&M store when you can take it back after Christmas if it's broken. Yes, shopping centres offer gift wrapping services, as do some smaller shops, but you have been able to see what you bought before you pay to get it wrapped.
I would also be removing references to store promotions, unless you plan on opening a store very soon......you don't currently have a store and buyers can easily see that. It makes you look like you don't know what you're talking about.

Non-refundable deposits are not illegal, just doesn't help customer relations in some circumstances.
There are many circumstances in which a non-refundable deposit are 100% justified and necessary, it can be a little less necessary for items that are in stock, don't require any particular special treatment or storage for the up-to- 10 weeks the customer has withdrawn it from sale during the lay-by contract, but that doesn't make it theft, particularly when the term is stated up-front.

I have actually notice some stores do that, where they say all monies returned to you, except for the initial 10 or 20% Deposit. I thought that wasn't wrong, guess I was looking at the wrong Store Ads, by the sounds of things.
So you my I am under the impression that most of you are saying less is more?

The reason for my, long detailed ads, is so I got everything covered in my T&C and the occasional bad buyer, won't say something like "this was never mentioned in the Ad" "This add was wrong"
As for the gift wrapping most of you saying I should remove this from my listings is this correct?

Fair enough, I'll get that removed ASAP.

I am actually thinking of opening a store but I am restricted to sell 10 items a month or up to $2,500 Per month whichever comes first, don't know if that's worth it or not at this stage, plus I get 40 free listings per month, which is nothing considering I can only list 10 items a month. What is your opinion on that please?
