Key word spamming

I was under the understanding that using terms like " NOT this brand or that band" in the title was key word spamming?

Re: Key word spamming

Yep, as far as I know it is.

Same as listing numerous (talking hundreds) of identical generic accessory items then using a different particular car model on each one, to both keyword spam, and circumvent multiple identical listings policy. Neither of which Ebay seem particularly interested in acting upon.

Here is what eBay says regarding duplicate fixed-price and auction listings. It lists what is and isn't allowed: http://pages.ebay.com.au/help/policies/listing-multi.html

Thank you for that, but I have familiarised myself with that particular policy, prior to reporting them.

They DO violate the policy.

Yes, I have an opinion. No you don't have to agree with it. Yes I do have a right to it.

Re: Key word spamming

I have given up reporting keyword spamming because none are ever removed and the auctions are allowed to run for the full number of days.

I am fed up doing some searches because of the keyword spamming so in the long run ebay will lose buyers because it will no longer be worth the effort to spend hours searching through thousands of listings that have nothing to do with what the buyer wants.

Re: Key word spamming

No you definitly will get in trouble with ebay if you were to write Not in the title , I know because a long time ago I had written that " not fleecy " for a jumper top I was selling , however the timing that I was struck for the policy violation was weird , I sell a lot of Supre clothing and the  was same week I received the violation was the same week the Supre official store opened on ebay and I suffered tremendously for it as my listings were harder to find if at all , so my advice is yes be very cautious when writing your title , I also think it would be a good idea for newbies to get at least one warning before  issued with a violation .
