Thought we had been given a big change until I realised I had somehow been logged into the US site.
50 free listings per month
additional listing fees after the 50 freebies have been used - 0.30c per listing and in Oz we cop $1.50 - feeling ripped off!!
oh and Top Rated Plus sellers get a 20% discount on FVFs!
no such luck in Oz 😰😰😰😰

Each country has its own regulations, you can't just cherry pick what seems better for US sellers, there are other things that look as if they are more onerous than the Au site.
You cannot compare the two anyway, like oranges and apples. Obviously the US has a much larger customer base than Australia so just as a large supermarket chain can sell things much cheaper then a small local shop so can the US model make the same profit from piling high and selling low.
If you think Au is expensive have a look at the UK, I gave up selling there quite a few years ago as it was 10 times the work for much less gain than selling while I am in Australia.

Someone always points this out every few weeks or so on here, me included some time ago. 🙂
The thing is, there is something like 360 million people in the USA and almost 24 million people here. We are just 15% of their population size, and we earn a lot more on average, have higher living and operating costs and things like that. It does seem unfair when you simply look at the fee structures on their own, but each country's set of eBay fees is specifically tailored to the economical and cultural environment it operates in.
Since eBay wants a certain level of income from their operations, the fees are higher in the small market and the fees are more closely linked to our higher income level.
