Live CD

I recently received a message from  ebay saying they blocked an item ( a live CD) as they claim it is counterfiet.   But someone has already paid for it. Do ebay automatically refund the buyer ??

Maybe you do, but since the OP hasn't come back to say who the CD is of, or where it was recorded, then it's all supposition until they do.

Hopefully OP will come back as I'm also intrigued.

I've never dealt (as in bought / sold releases) with music on a scale beyond my personal collection, but  I don't really see it as being relevant. I've dealt with eBay as a seller for a long time, and I know the stance they take once they deem something a breach of listing policies.

Unless you are asking out of personal interest - I am a buyer / collector of music releases, of course, but bootlegs / unofficial releases don't generally tickle my fancy. I was moderately involved with the music industry before my ebay "career", though (everything from writing reviews for an indie magazine, to co-founding a long-defunct record label that no one's ever heard of 🤣 ), to other nerdy stuff like cataloguing releases for Discogs. Neither area (ebay or music) is one where I'm particularly green.

Even in the past, there didn't seem to be a clear answer, and now with MP it is even less clear what the answer is. Just a couple of weeks ago there was a poster here whose account had been temporarily suspended, and he was worried because he didn't know how to post some items waiting to be posted without access to his account (he didn't have the addresses of the buyers), or if the buyers had possibly been refunded.

If you don't receive a notice that the buyer has been refunded, I would contact him/her for a refund (you don't have to be specific about the reason for the removal, just say that there was a problem with your listing). Don't wait too long or he/she might open a case.
