Who's responsibility is it to chase up a missing item buyer/seller?

OK Dave to make everyone happy I will cross out the missing and put in "cruising item"

Please be patient a little bit more. Like it's been mentioned, Chullora
and Sunshine West sorting Centres are notorious for bouncing things back and forth
for a few weeks.
The seller wouldn't know that unless they visit the boards, though.
I understand you're peeved at them though for not caring.
Hang in there, and just see what happens, OK?
My concern was that it left Vic arrived in NSW and now it's back in Vic - I was unaware those 2 scanned locations were sorting centres. I was also unaware the estimated arrival time on the item sent email was ebay's estimation. If I was a seller I would make a habit of including the tracking number with the thanks for your purchase email.
Trust me if you was a seller you would not be spending your time adding the tracking to emails because you would be spending to much time posting here about how impatient some buyers are and blame sellers for everything

Even if the seller did contact the sorting centre, AP wouldn't be able to tell them (or even do) anything beyond confirming what the tracking shows.
At best, they'll be told what "should" happen next, and that if it's MIA after 10 full working days, she can lodge a missing parcel investigation.

there is a place the seller SHOULD have entered the tracking number in their ebay sold items page, it would then be on your purchased items page under the item description. the seller failed to do that, not good practice.
dont get smart, people read your thread thinking you have had an item lost and come to help you then discover your just in a hurry to get your item. when its pointed out your items not actually missing you become agressive.

I find it hard to trust someone who begs for me to trust them - sorry!
I find the high volume sellers more reliable by including tracking in their thanks for buying emails, it's usually the sellers who sell a couple of items a weeks who seldom bother with the finer points of being a good seller.

2 hrs ago at message 35 I said ""Thanks penny, now that I know they are sorting centres I will give it another week""
Because I made the mistake of saying I would include the tracking number for buyers if I was a seller you decide to take offence - move along there's nothing to see here.

Obviously you didn't read all the replies to you because if you'd read mine, you would have seen that I mentioned before Penny about them being sorting centres not post offices. I also suggested waiting another week or so. I wonder why I bothered now.
