If there were dedicated threads for the topics mentioned by thecatspjs the entire contents of the Buying and Selling boards would shrink by about 90% and a few of us may manage to keep a full head of hair instead of tearing it out answering the same questions time and time again.

Don't forget the
Post was listed as $7 but when I received it the actual face value was only $6.95, why does eBay let these postage pirates get away with it.
threads?

What about the monthly advertising threads? Although that seems to have stopped since they can't ignore responses. No idea why - ignore only ever worked for the ignorer.

On a serious note, I think the forum would actually benefit from a couple of locked, stickied threads (one on each of the buying/selling boards), containing FAQs and solutions to common problems. Other forums use them and they tend to be spared the incessant, repetitive threads.

What about when a buyer is blatantly ripped of like i just was buy a seller . A seller advertises an item as no chips no cracks, Photos of every side of the item showing it is dirty but not damaged , the only side there is no photo of is the bottom and I never realised when viewing the item that there was no pic of the bottom sure realised why it was left out when it arrived. Anyways it arrives I wash it as it is filthy I mean dirty dirty dirty... and NO its cracked on the bottom **bleep**.
I wasn't sure what to do I was just going to live with it but I thought I would just email the seller and wow what a seller it turns out to be.
First they clearly admit they new it had a defect in the bottom and have seen a few like it , when I explain its a crack in the glass there just say send it back for a full refund including return postage. OK sounds fair , So I email them back and say that's fine but Im still going to be out of pocket as paypal will charge me just to get my money back and also I have washed the bottle for inspection. Well the response back was UNBELIEVABLE.
He said OH well if you washed it its not as it originally was and he isn't interested, I email back your joking I wash it and you use it to try get out of it unbelievable. He then says if your not happy with that file a claim with paypal, so I have. Now If i have left NEG feedback for this MAGGOT and he had the right to do so what do you think I would end up with. This is exactly why sellers had there privilege to leave negs removed. But Now as a buyer who has just been stung I feel good that I can leave a neg and not suffer any unfair retaliation.
It is people like this that make eBay a bad place. purposely leave important info out then use any excuse to refuse a refund. Not good not good at all. Buy the way the item is worth more than $200 less than half with the crack do you think that is fair.? No it did not happen during transport no it did not happen during professional cleaning it is an old dirty crack that is common in older bottles of this type due to there work place life style. And the seller clearly new about it. He clearly new it was worth more with out said crack as well. It is these buying that leave the bad eBay taste in your mouth. Trustworthiness is rife and cost of policing it is being forced on the Innocent buyers. Yes I no there are many good sellers but it don't make the bad ones any better.

What possessed you to turn down the offer of the full refund with return postage? That is about as good as it gets....certainly better than a paypal dispute where you have to pay the return postage.
And how was it going to cost you money to get your refund from paypal?
