Guess it had to happen.....but why oh why do buyers not contact a seller to resolve a problem?....just go straight to the dreaded red dot....my perfect score all ruined:-(

I would wear the red dot with pride and relishe the chance to compose my follow up to the feedback.
There are so many options using the word scrubber that the possibilities are endless 😉

There needs to be more guidance from ebay
There is already a warning when you leave a neg asking the buyer if they had contacted the seller first... What more do you need?

PJ - would looove to do that, but I have just sent a message asking if they would be agreeable to revising feedback if I send a request. Most of the advice I received said I should try, so here goes.........I will keep your suggestion on file in case it happens again however:^O

Just wondering what a word scrubber is?

Mann, Why are some sellers quick to refund when the only communication left from the buyer was negative feedback?
Geez, from memory, before a buyer could leave a neg ..a box had to be checked first, ebay asking/stating have you contacted the seller.
Why the heck sellers reward them with a refund, and other sellers suggesting to send a refund, has got me stuffed.
Puts out the wrong message in my opinion.

Oops, wrong feedback thread ^ :^O

OP, could be wrong, but i think that your item is manufactured by a process called aluminium-based hard-anodising, see this information, 'ere:
http://sriparna.hubpages.com/hub/All-you-care-about-hard-anodised-aluminium-cookware
manufacturers never recommend scrubbin' those surfaces, with any type of abrasive, this information/advice would 'ave been included in your packagin' that went to your buyer.
if some bright spark chooses to ignore manufacturer's recommendations, you can't be held liable for their action, they've admitted to it.
now, if it was me, i'd be changin' my response to say that you're not to blame for what they admit is their mistake.

not_an_eloi, yes I do think they were at fault, but I did speak to them about it at a later daye, and they claim they used the word 'scrub' as a loose term, apparantly they only used a cloth 'scrubbing' vigorously?? What do I do? Customer is always right.
The item is actually carbon steel with pfluon coating and can not be scrubbed as mentioned by many. I have asked for revision of fb, but no reply,:-(

I have asked for revision of fb, but no reply
They have left a follow up to the feedback they left saying they have revised it.
They obviously don't understand the system so you may need to email them and explain how to revise the feedback.
