My PO said no more C&S lodgement receipts being issued...anyone else?

Today I took some Click and Send satchels to my local Post Office as I usually do. I was told that AP are no longer printing and issuing click and send lodgement receipts, so I got nothing to show that I had lodged them.  Has anyone else had this?  The customer service lady told me it was happening Australia Wide.  Will I now have issues with proof of posting in the event of any delivery problems/disputes?

That has happened to me about 6 months ago, I have reported that PO by email and guess what, week later they were issuing receipts again 🙂

I just got off the phone to Click and Send. Apparently it's a permanent "system change", and no more lodgement receipts are being issued.  Perhaps Alice from AP who sometimes visits these boards could jump in and let us know if this is the case.

perhaps the clarification that is needed is an answer to the following question:

Are Click and Send items still going to be scanned if lodged over the counter at a Post Office?

If they are still being scanned then lodgement can be verified . . . . . but not by a lodgement receipt.

IMO the lodgement receipts were always overkill with proof of post anyway and a waste of paper (and time waiting for the damn things to print in some post offices).

A copy of the click and send label with addressee details is now accessible via CS console and of course tracking of that parcel via console AND public website.  This meets paypal seller protection requirements and Australia Post requirements in event of missing parcel investigation. 

In the rarer situation of a dispute that does arise and this information is no longer viewable to users, due to a relatively long time period having elapsed, the information can be accessed from their archives, and provided to you by Australia Post via phone or email request.

I’m here.  Just got back from a 400 km round trip to look at a shorefront property I’m interested in buying.  Easterly aspect, out the back gate and straight onto the beach in a sheltered cove.  A bit pricey but...

I think, to prove lodgement all you really need to do enter the tracking number into Aust Post web site and then use the ‘Print Screen” option in the main menu, which would then provide proof of lodgement.

In the alternative, could simply wait for a dispute to be received and if the tracking details are no longer available on screen, you can ask Aust Post to provide confirmation from there archived data.

There's one other alternative - after you create the labels, subscribe to the tracking events. You will get an email that you can keep for as long as necessary (and easily access), for every scan event that occurs.
