I'm selling a rare Nintendo SNES console and have had a lot of interest. Yesterday bidding got up to $700 but today suddenly out of 3 bidders and 25 bids between them, all but 1 bid have been canceled and it's back to starting bid of $250. I know it's worth a lot more than this, and now I'm worried other bidders have been put off. Am I being scammed? Should I cancel the auction and start again?

I suggest you put a buy it now price on for the minimum you are prepared to accept for it...
It's risky when you auction items, sometimes folks get more than anticipated but it's sounding to me like you will get next to nothing for it..
SO consider a BIN

OP..
if you have more than 4 watchers then let the auction run.
The idiots are gone so some genuine bidders might rally
near auction end. If you are still worried that you have been
conned just don't send the item.
Report the 2 ( or 3 ) low lifes and they 'might' get flagged
for observation.

Hmmm..... a bit about bid sheilding.

Although the bid cancellations did not happen at the very last minute, there is a possibility that this may have been what they were up to. Hopefully your remaining watchers / bidders will do the right thing.

That would be a waste of the extra listing fee, the BIN disappears as soon as a bid is placed.
If you want to avoid bid shielding or withdrawn bids for any other reason then you can always list as BIN with Best Offer, your BIN price is the best price you would hope to get and then you can set it to auto accept anything over what you are prepared to sell it for.
