I sold an item, I stipulated very clearly the terms of pickup, the person failed to show when she made appointment, sends abrupt message telling me (not asking) that she wants pick up outside time frame, when I said no that isn't suitable & that I am happy to cancel the transaction, to which she agreed, she then chooses to leave nasty feedback I'm over it, sellers have no protection at all, this person has not really bought anything off me but has the right to destroy my feedback

Agree totally no seller protection for nasty buyers. I had a group of peole slander my name all over their site and when I put a retraction ebay removed it. I refused to deal with any member of the site which I think is my god given right. They bought an item I explained my policies which were also listed with every one of my items. I issued a refund and relisted the item but they were still allowed to leave negative feedback. Ebay are now telling me I need to contact MY solicitor to have it removed EBAY are a joke.

You don't need to see a solicitor at all, so stop speaking rubbish. You need to print out a defamation form, have it signed by a JP (policeman, chemist or similar) and fax and send off to them the hard copy. A bit of troube on your part but that's the rules. Ebay can be a great place to buy and sell if you choose to accept their rules and be a little less prickly with your customers, in my opinion you'd then have a much happier experience.

If a buyer is daft enough to use Paypal for a pick up item why are you daft enough to refund them?
As it looks like they are going to neg you anyway why not just keep the payment and, as I advised before, give them x days to come and collect or you will but it out to the kerb.

A bit hard to prove defamation when the neg was for non-delivery and that's what was stated. And admitted in later feedback for the buyer who bought after relist.

For gawd's sake... please don't let the facts get in the way of a good conspiracy story.

Have you seen the ebay defamation form? There is nothing, absolutely nothing legal about it. It's a means to an end to remove feedback - that's it. My solicitor was in hysterics when I showed it to him. It is just a hoop to get people to jump through to have feedback removed and most people can't be bothered.

The neg is gone.

Don't lose your cool. That is a sure way to bad feedback.
Next time ask them to make a time and then if that can't be kept, tell them when you will be free and come to some arrangement.
Always assume the buyer means well. After all, they did want to buy your item.
