I sold a Futon Lounge this morning, I live in Melbourne and the item was pickup and COD.
The buyer lives in Northern NSW. When the auction finished he sent me an email saying that he bought the item, lives in Nth. NSW and he comes to Melbourne once every 2 to 3 weeks, will pick it up then and pay for it then.
My thoughts on this is he should have asked first was it alright to do this, but he waited till he bought it.
I just have a funny feeling about this, I sent an email to him asking for an approx date he would pick it up, but he hasnt answered.
OH is anxious to have it removed, what should I do, wait for him to come to Melbourne next or what?

If you aren't prepared to be flexible about pick up schedules then you need to be very specific in your listing and say it must be collected within X days of item ending. I usually end pick up items on a Saturday afternoon and say they must be picked up by whatever date the Monday week is as that gives them the best part of two weekends.
If you didn't specify a deadline then you can really only wait and if they don't turn up when they say they are going to open an unpaid item dispute if you want your FVF back.
