Could it simply be 925 as in sterling silver?

This is a similar ' Hallmark ' - on an Austrian candelabra.

But also read this :

If you see a clover-like marking on a piece of jewelry alongside "925," it's likely a pseudo-hallmark, meaning it's intended to look like a genuine hallmark but isn't, possibly to impress a potential customer.

Here's a breakdown:
  • Pseudo-hallmarks:
These are markings that mimic genuine hallmarks but are not official or recognized by any hallmarking authority.

  • "925" and Sterling Silver:
The "925" stamp indicates that the silver content is 92.5% pure, which is the standard for sterling silver.

  • Examples of Pseudo-Hallmarks:
The clover, rose, and thistle marks are examples of pseudo-hallmarks, often found on older Swiss watch cases.

  • Why they exist:
These marks were used before official hallmarking systems were established in certain countries, or to give the appearance of quality.

  • Other Marks:
Look for other hallmarks like the maker's mark (initials or name of the maker) and duty marks.

  • Where to find more information
Invaluable.com has a guide to jewelry marks. Jewelry Auctioned also has a guide to 925 stamps and other jewelry hallmarks.
