I don't sell much on Ebay, maybe 1 item or so a year, just received an invoice and nearly died. What a joke, going from 5% now to 9.9%, ebay good bye, i see you don't care about the small sellers like myself, only here for the large stores etc. What a rip off!!!!! Nearly 13% gone in ebay and paypal fees.

You don't have to leave, just put up your prices and postage to cover it.

You started your auction at .99cents and sold for $2,550
You would have been screaming about something else if it had
sold for .99 cents
It pays to know your selling platform before you list.
At least you sold for a decent price.

Yes the fees etc have risen. I can sort of understand why you are a bit upset. BUT. Surely, when you were listing it, didn't you read any of the information given? It's all there as you progress through the listing. Also, why would you start an auction at 99c ??? As mentioned, you would have been up the "Proverbial Creek "if you had only 1 bidder. You made a profit, so a lesson well learnt I'd say.

Well, actually.....
When fees were 5~% they applied a sliding scale. Your $2550 item would have incurred fees of less than $90.00 a couple of years ago.
Now, at a flat 9.9% it works out to 252.45, so that's nearly triple... But don't worry, the max FVF on an item is only $250*, so you did manage to "save" $2.45.
Not to make you feel better or worse about it or anything, but I can't resist doing the math.
*increasing to $750 on the US site for non-store sellers, so will probably increase to that here, too.
