Today I find out that the New Tariffs on Goods to the USA., Are now charged to the Seller (not the Buyer) since as the post office told me today, That some customers in the US refuse to pay the IMPORT DUTY. Now Australia post are taking it from the seller. I am also paying the SALES TAX through ebay for each item. I am now hit with two lots of tax's. this is seriously not fair & increases costs considerably. I have tried to talk to the Auto bot thing on ebay site to no avail. The post office told me to take it up with ebay.. Very easy said than done.
It looks very much like Business with the US is dead in the water.
Has anyone else experienced this dilemma?

I hear you but this has been the deal, that sellers pay, all the way through.
Unlike many countries where the VAT, GST etc is a general rate, The US tariffs are highly variable, depending on the product, from zero, as are my items, to who knows what depending on the type of item and country of manufacture.
Before the tariff status of my items became clear, I intended to create a mirror ebay site, solely for sales to the US and my existing site which would then exclude sales to the US. The US only site was to have that tax included in the price.

Glad you finally caught up. This has been a thing for quite some time now.
The very simple fix is to add a small handling charge of say $3 or $4 to international sales. This will slightly increase your profit margin for non-US purchases which can then be used to offset the tariff charged on US shipments. This way, the US tariff charge is spread across all of your international shipments which is far less noticeable than slamming one single shipment with the lot.
With the rather weak value of the AUD, your buyers probably won't even notice, and it shouldn't affect your sales in any way. This works for me.

Not really fair for the rest of the buyers to pay for greedy US. Ebay should do a separate postage option for US alone. With all the technology surely ebay could work with ZONOX to work out all charges beforehand and then seller can decide if still viable (due to all ebay's fees- why we are charged fees on govt taxes should be illegal anyway) along with buyer.

Nothing to do with 'fair' or what 'should be illegal' or what 'eBay should do'
It's the real world on eBay
If a seller want to sell to Dumpster land, it is what it is
There's nothing secret or unknown nor new
If a seller want to sell there, they know what it involves
Take it up with those who voted for the cretin
