Am I the only one offended by eBay's grabbing the buyers money and telling sellers "Trust us you have been paid" go ahead and send the item now but with no sign of the money in our accounts . And then several days later they own up to having received the money and will send it on to us minus their fees of course in a day or so.
Further to this they are charging us the paypal 3.5% even though the money doesn't go to paypal at all but eventually , to our bank account perhaps 5 or 6 days after the payment was made.
Am I just being picky about this or do others think even by eBay standards this is over the top.

As a non-seller you really don't have any reference points against which to make valid comments.
And you have proven that.

the delay to accessing the funds i think could be the most inconvenient aspect of it for some people.Even though i sell very little compared to most i don't mind it as its very easy

Ebay managed payments is DESIGNED, so sellers have to wait for their money, while ebay uses sellers funds to make more money. Ebay is NOW very DISHONEST with sellers money, VERY

Paypal was an HONEST and QUICK payment process, managed payments is a VERY dishonest payment system. Cashflow is what a small business is all about, FACT, managed payments is designed, for ebay to KEEP our money, as long as ebay can, FACT

You have NO idea about cashflow, Paypal was GREAT, as in GREAT

And of course what you are saying must be right as you are shouting at us.

Hello davewil1964 ? I was a seller on eBay. I sold on other sites too. I was selling 8 or 9 years before your davewil1964 ID was registered. I was around in the early days. Good old days.

Don't like it? Don't use eBay's sandpit.
Lamenting about the past and attacking other members who provide actual facts is unlikely to get you any sympathy. Nor is going off like a frog in a sock at other members.
You have the choice. If you don't like eBay now charging the same fees as you paid before, don't try to sell on eBay.
It's not hard.
Btw I'm a small business getting weekly payments. After the first week, where I had to cover postage out of my reserve (which I naturally had), I now get paid regularly.
I'm betting that you, like most people complaining, haven't actually signed up for Managed Payments, and are thus, like most people complaining, posting your 'information' from a theoretical (rather than actual) viewpoint.

Hey 0439justimber, I hear what you say. Yeah, you do have a bit of a point. I can't really disagree with you here. I was thinking about selling again, mainly to downsize. And with what you've said, well yeah ... that's probably why I won't sell much here.

wow, you mention cashflow, if your business can't handle one additional day for getting the funds compared to Paypal, you have much more serious problems, I would go get a job if I were you,
