Non paying customers register??

I just sent a message suggesting we list a reigster for non paying, no response buyers and within 1 minute it was removed! Where did that go ebay?

My suggestion was that so many sellers are sick and tired of buyers not paying and not responding to emails that i would be good to have a list we can check to see if our customers will communicate and pay, rather than leaving us haning for weeks.

As it is not possible to leave feedback for people who will not pay or communicate, is it not in the top sellers best interests to have a list of 'non payers/ non communicators', it would make our life easier and yours too ebay!!

You were suggesting that sellers should break the rules....you are not allowed to name and shame on ebay

You are not supposed to post anything encouraging the breaking of the rules.

Non paying customers register??

Why, are we not a community forum trying to improve a system we are working in? If no-one challenges the rules how does anything change?

ebay's playground so play by their rules or do not play here.

You were told you are not allowed to name and shame on these boards after you did the post.

and just who do you propose would check the legitimacy of any buyer ID that is added to such a list i.e. who would check that they are actually non-payers and not just added to the list by a disgruntled seller.

Non paying customers register??

I send them one email on day 4, open an NPB on day 5, close it on day 9, and block them.

No hanging for weeks, no stress.

If they're serial NPBs my blocks should pick them up. If not, refer point 1.

My items are all BIN so I don't know who the buyer is until they buy. A list of alleged offenders is no help then.

I doubt eBay is going to change things, especially as the site seems to be going away from auctions anyway.

No problem, I wont name and shame, I was just frustrated with the number of non paying buyers who cant be bothered paying or even replying to emails weeks after the bidding, and the having to relist the item, you loose faith!!. AND we cant leave negative feedback for them!!

I agree non-paying buyers are PITA.  They cost money.  Some sellers that appear to have quite a low turnover and/or sell very low priced items are not fazed as it makes little difference to them, but for other sellers there is a cost involved that mounts up.

I have fingers crossed that ebay will introduce in AU 2 day non payment dispute process as they recently have in US.  At least the lessens the time an item has to be held back from relisting.

Sounds good in theory but only electronic payment methods are allowed on the US site and I imagine there would be a lot of very peeved buyers who had a dispute opened after 2 days when they had paid by bank deposit!

I do not get a great many non payers but I do have a lot of people who have been blocked from bidding because i have serial non payers blocked. Believe it or not there used to be the same number of complaints about non payers back in the days when sellers could leave negs, you couldn't blanket block them then either.
