My buyer didn't send enough shipping but Ebay won't let me communicate details for extra payment.

All your sold items show set postage costs, that would have been paid by the buyer at time of purchase. If you have now found that you undercharged for postage, that is your problem and you are not entitled to any additional payment from the buyer.

You charged the postage and the buyer paid what you charged
If you did not charge enough, that is not the buyers responsibility and you cannot contact the buyer after the sale and ask for more money. That is not on

It sounds as if you underquoted your shipping costs.
It can happen.
But it means you have a choice now.
-You can cancel the sale and refund the customer
-You can post the item, absorbing the extra postage payment at your own expense.
If you cancel, you may find it's a bit of a strike against your account. Forget what it is called but basically ebay doesn't like cancelled orders that are through seller error. Plus I think you'd still be up for ebay fees.
If you send with some out of pocket expense, be absolutely sure the item is perfectly as described as if anything went wrong, you'd also be up for return postage.
You can't really ask for extra payment after a buyer has bought. It won't end well. The buyer will resent it as they bought under the understood prices and conditions. They are within their rights to just say no but even if they agree, I doubt you'd get a glowing positive feedback about the experience.
To me, it comes down to the amount, how much you would be out of pocket if you paid the difference.
If it is too much to lose, just cancel.
