I guess you could go in list as world wide, then set the country of exclusion as Australia, not sure if it can be done given the fact you are in Oz but worth a try.

When filling in the selling an item form ( listing ) form near the bottom you have postage cost section. Under this is a section for selling wordwide. ( you have to check a box there from memory for the options to appear but this varies depending on which listing system ebay has you on ) There are options to sell to all countries or select individual countries. You can also lodge a fixed postage cost or include parcel details in ebays postage calculator or put varies for cost ( in some selling systems, they are not all the same ) .This gives access to worldwide sales but includes Australia. I use listing templates which have International sales to all countries as a the default setting so dont manually use this bit when listing. ( hence relying on memory here ). Around 10-20 % of my items sell overseas normally, depending on what I am selling at the time. When ebays systems are playing up, more than half of my sales can come from overseas. I dont have too many problems with International buyers ( except for the job of providing postage price quotes to many people who decide the post costs too exensive ). I send more expensive items with Pack & Track or similar tracked method at buyers expense. Cheaper items go regular air mail.( under $50 combined item & post value. ) I dont lose very many parcels but countries such as Spain, Mexico, Columbia & Russia are a bit of a worry. Like all things on ebay it can be slightly sressfull at the start, but once you get used to it all, it just becomes normal and you dont think anything of it.
