Orders going missing with Australia Post

Hi..Just wondering if anyone else has been having trouble with orders going missing in the Post?   I have had 15 missing orders since July and post around 100 articles per week so not a huge mailout...I have approach them (Australia Post) previously and because I sell Jewellery they are not interested in compensating...The jewellery is small items and not practical to Register but it is becoming costly for me to keep refunding or replacing orders for customers because of failed delivery...If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it...Thanks

I should also add that doing this, right or wrong, is likely going to lead to heaps of negative fb.

Actually I love to buy jewellery and only buy FINE JEWELLERY and get very annoyed to see cheap stuff listed as fine when it is not.

I was looking at your listings to see if there was anything I like and when you post with a selling ID then that is what does happen here, you have your listings looked at.

It was not said to be rude just advising of miss categorization.

As for the missing parcels use click and send or registered post then for your protection. Up to you if it is worth doing that when you have to refund or replace so much.

Have you lodged complaints with AP?

Hello...it's a bit of a worry when parcels go missing. And that sounds like a lot to me for one seller. There are times when a postoffice worker is busted for stealing parcels. I have heard cases where one chap had so much stuff in his flat. Not sure how the PO discovered it though. One wonders if it's worth reporting...I had a parcel go missing to South Australia in August. It was a lovely item...rare art deco curtain & I am sure it was a tracked parcel too.

But apart from that I have been very lucky to have minimal loss over 6 years. I would be having a whine at your PO...for sure...is it a big one?? A few employees?? And would be interesting if your losses all disappeared from a similar area.

hi again Sage...ignore the shredders. Do you post your items as a parcel or large letter??? You didn't say...and personally, I have sent a LOT of jewellery as a large letter and it always arrived safely.

I am curious to know the destinations of your parcels...if they are in a similar area...could be a thief thing going on....that's too many parcels to lose since July.....speaking from experience here...and I see your feedback is not so shabby either....jilly

I had a buyer maintain that he hadnt recieved an item I posted the day after he paid for it by paypal . As i couldnt prove I had sent it . I had to go thru a paypal dispute who found in his favour ...He stuffed up my perfect feedback score ---I havent bothered to sell anything since .

they just troll through the messages to criticize other buyers...

I am sure it was not meant as criticism but an advice; it could save you much grief by pointing out that you are listing in a wrong category, which is against eBay rules and can result in your listings being cancelled and violation registered against your ID.

Many people do report items listed in wrong category because they are sick of trawling through heaps of stuff they are not interested in.

not sure what happened above, without the quote my post does not make much sense:

Hi sagenarre, I would also suggest click and send, they have 500g satchels for a flat rate Aust wide for $6.20 (I think) and these  can be lodged at AP, scanned and provide proof of postage with AP that is acceptable to paypal. Also - if theft is the cause, this manner of posting would certainly deter that. It also tends to stop any perhaps fraudulent claim of a parcel  not received by a less than honest buyer.

If you use Click and Send, you have Paypal Seller protection. If it gets lost and AP won't refund, Paypal will reimburse the buyer out of their funds, not yours.

Provided the tracking doesn't show the item as being delivered.
