Hi guys, some of you may laugh at me, and I do realise that these are a necessary evil, but hey does anyone else agree that in the last month or so, their site has been bombarded with 'pop up' style advertising?
Its over the top of your veiwing gallery photos so people think they are clicking on the photo, when they,re directed elsewhere for selling etc etc, or other pop upsa that appear that claim to tune up your computer etc .
I,d expect this from somewhere free like Gumtree, but ebay charges us well, its so much so that I spend more time clicking the close button on pop ups than reading others adverts, also when i,m & writing & revising my own adverts it takes me longer to close out pop ups than to do what I need to do, maybe I need to have a clean up internally, but I have a good security system etc.
Any thoughts?

It's all part of your trading experience being enhanced, didn't you know?
Apparently, an ad blocker stops all this sort of stuff - I see them advertised around the boards by members who use them adware? maybe? I can't remember sorry.

It is called Adblock, and is available for several browsers for free. Then there is also Adblock Plus.

I put Adblocker Plus on my browsers and have not had any trouble with these since.

I use Firefox as a browser with adblock (free) and in all the years I have been using it never once seen a pop up on ebay
