Parcels to NZ major delays

Hi everyone, how are you all?  I'm just getting over a cold at the moment.

I've had heaps of reports from buyers about missing parcels going to NZ.  I managed to hold them all off with another week after another week, and they are now finally being delivered, 4 weeks after being dispatched!

So I just wanted to reassure others if they are experiencing the same thing.

Anyone know what might be going on, and if this is going to keep happening?

There was a fruit fly incursion so whether that means all parcels are being passed by the dogs and being scanned I don't know.

Possibly they are doing major customs checks following the Christchurch incident?

I was thinking that might be contributing to the delays

Thanks for the replies, I didn't consider the terrorist activity.  Didn't know about the fruit fly problem.
