Hi I sold a ring yesterday. When I went to page to update tracking info after posting the item the message from eBay said “funds will be paid once tracking info is updated”. I went online today and see they have put a hold on my payment until delivery confirmed by buyer. I have been selling for 12 years on eBay have over 800 positive feedback. I have not sold an item for a while that’s the only thing I can think of that has caused eBay to do this to me. I spoke to a customer service guy who was very sympathetic to my situation but said he did not have authority to reverse the hold. He did understand my situation and that he would send an email to selling and buying team to look at. Has anyone else been in this situation? Is there a way to email eBay direct? I feel like I am being treated like a second class citizen. I have posted a valuable piece of jewellery to my buyer and eBay won’t pay me? Please help

As others have said, it's just an ebay security measure on sales from members who have not sold in a while.
I'd be in the same boat as you. I have been a member for many years but if I returned to selling, there would be a 30 day hold on funds.
I think the main thing for you though, if you haven't sold in a while, is to double check that you are signed up for managed payments. If you haven't sold in a few years, you may not be and unless you complete all that, ebay will not be able to release the money to you. So make sure you are signed up so you can at least get to the money after the 30 days.

Ok thank you I now understand if you have not sold for some time then you get a hold on your funds. Sorry for my harsh response yesterday was a bad day

That is clearly rubbish. I have been selling recently and the most recent payment is still on hold.

You have no feedback for sales in the last 12 months. Therefore, as said months ago, you are considered a new seller.

Not sure why you are sending me this response now. I sorted this out many months ago
