Paypal Fees

I haven't sold anything for a while until recently and have found that my $400 sale has incurred an $11 paypal fee on receiving payment. I'm assuming that the usual 10.9% ebay fee will be on top of this amount?

So my $400 sale will cost me $54.60 in fees.

Does this seem normal/excessive ?

$54 of a $400 sale is around 13.5%, which is pretty much the average these days when all fees are taken into account.

30c + ~3% for every transaction

Total fees will be just shy of  $57   as the  10.9% ebay fee also applies to the $22 postage.
