Just a question had couple PayPal eCheques lately that have ended up not going through and cancelled due to assume paypal unable get money from a account.
I hate them so much wait ages & have them cut off & not working in end is annoying.
Ok No i did not post item/s but it is a pain waiting so long then nothing.
Is There a setting in Paypal that i can set up so as not accept echeques???
Thanks for any help

Sorry, but there's no way to stop echeques unless you accept PayPal only and have immediate payment required on Buy It Now listings.

Hi digi
Seller can now open UPI dispute ?? not sure on this, but hoping so that way the buyer will get a strike and fvf back, or is it automatically cancelled by paypal as there was no transaction?

I'm not 100% sure, actually. I think it's possible but not in an obvious way (which sounds wonderfully vague! :^O ). I think it's either the option isn't there unless you access the transaction from Selling Manager, or, if it can't be done you have to phone eBay to at least get the FVF credit.
Given that sellers have been able to successfully open UPIs on transactions where a cleared PayPal payment has been made, I should think there is a way to open one in these circumstances...but I can't guarantee it, and I don't know how to do it. :8}

You can open an unpaid strike for an uncleared (bounced) or cancelled e-cheque transaction the same as you would for any other non-payer.

Oh, ok. Cool - I know that there have been threads in the past where people have asked how to do it because the option isn't there (or they couldn't find it) after an eCheque has failed, but I couldn't remember what any of the answers were. I suppose you just have to click Resolve a Problem, then?

Yes, you just click resolve a problem.
Maybe problems have arisen when ebay and paypal payment information are out of sync - as has happened numerous times due to glitches, maintenance etc etc

Does anyone know how to add "Immediate Payment" for Paypal payments as well as the other options, ie bank deposit, pay on pick up etc. I've noticed when I add Immediate Payment Required the other payment options are greyed out.
I'm sick of buyers who wait 5 or 6 days (5 days to pay I think is sufficient) but then send an e-cheque payment, and lately they are taking 6-7 business days to clear, so you end up having to wait nearly 2 weeks to actually get paid.
Hmm, rather annoying!

Thanks guys does sound like i cant stop echeques as a setting Darn what pain..
Yes as a reverse or failed echeque you can lodge NPBD which i have done to cover my back
I suspect bussiness accounts can set it up what payments they want & dont want but personal accounts must not be able to
