Thanks digi and cats, was sure there had to be a way, good to know. 😄
bargainsgalore - just be careful with Immediate payment. I personally think many buyers are put off by this. I have never used it myself, but can imagine someone winning an auction on say Wed and knowing their pay will be in Thursday and paying for it then and if that is not available you lose a sale. Also impossible to combine purchases if you buy more than one thing from a seller, etc. Just something to think about

Does anyone know how to add "Immediate Payment" for Paypal payments as well as the other options, ie bank deposit, pay on pick up etc. I've noticed when I add Immediate Payment Required the other payment options are greyed out.
It's actually impossible to offer bank deposit or other payment methods when you use the immediate payment required function - the checkout directs straight to PayPal when it's used, and the item remains for sale until payment is made. Payment can only be finalised by an instant PP payment (so either by having a credit card on file, or funds already in the account).
You can only use it on Buy It Now items, or an auction with a Buy It Now option, however immediate payment is only initiated if someone uses the BIN option, and if some bids, the BIN disappears and the listing becomes a regular auction, with no possibility of immediate payment.

Thanks guys does sound like i cant stop echeques as a setting Darn what pain..
Yes as a reverse or failed echeque you can lodge NPBD which i have done to cover my back
I do not mind waiting, and one of the good things about echeques is that the buyer cannot do chargeback.

I cannot find anywhere that immediate payment must be made from PP balance or CC; this is the info I have found:
As a seller of an auction-style Buy It Now listing or a fixed price (Buy It Now) listing, you have the option of requiring a buyer to pay immediately with PayPal before that buyer can purchase your item. You might use this feature if you're selling a time-sensitive item or if you want to avoid unpaid items. This feature is only available for PayPal payments.
How it works:
A buyer who clicks the Buy It Now button in your listing is directed to pay immediately for the item using PayPal.
Until the buyer completes payment, the item remains available to other buyers to purchase for the duration of the listing. The first buyer to complete their PayPal payment officially wins your item.
Once a buyer completes payment, the listing ends and you are directed to post the item.
You can use the immediate payment feature with any selling format (Online Auction, Fixed Price), as long as your item has a Buy It Now price.
If you have an auction-style listing, both the Buy It Now button and the immediate payment requirement disappear once a bid is placed (or once a bid meets your reserve price). In that case, the listing becomes a regular auction-style listing, with the item going to the highest bidder.
If the listing reaches its ending time before any buyer has completed payment, then no one wins the item and you can relist it.
