Paypal help please

Hi i am new to paypal selling and just want to check something.

I have sold an item and it is showing in my account as payment received and the status is completed.  I can't see anywhere where i can accept the payment so i am wondering once it is in there does that mean it is ok to send the item to the buyer.  I am concerned that if i can't find how to accept that i will send the items and then they will be able to cancel their payment??

Thanks 🙂

You should receive an email from Paypal telling you that an instant payment has been received and that it is now OK to send the item. It will also appear in your Selling account as payment received and if you do a mouse-over, it tells you also if it was an e-cheque or not, in which case you need it to clear before sending the item. IOW, you are told in a number of areas that you've been paid, what type of payment it was, and whether it's OK to send the item or not.

BTW, there's nothing to accept. Once you receive notification, it's already in your Paypal account, ready to spend or withdraw.

Once the status shows in PayPal as Completed it is ok to ship.

If you click on the transaction in your PayPal summary it takes you to the Transaction Details page with more info. Also, if you check your eBay Sold section you should also see a blue dollar sign next to the item. Hover your mouse over the dollar sign and a popup will display the date paid and PayPal account.

Always ship to the address that the buyer has selected during checkout. This is displayed in the eBay Order Details, in the PayPal Transaction Details and on the PayPal payment confirmation email.
