Is PESA going to be held on the Gold Coast every year now?
on โ19-11-2012 12:56 PM
Yes for the next 2 years at least.
We keep the conference on the gold coast because the community vote outstandingly for returning to the venue and location. Additionally it is cheaper to travel and stay on the Gold Coast than Melbourne or Sydney. People also like that they can stay the weekend and have a mini holiday.
cheers

Looking forward to it again. A great event every year, with fantastic networking!

For anyone who hasn't been before I highly recommend it, I went for the first time last year and it was worth every cent...

I think more sellers might be interested in attending if the event was hosted in other major cities. You might get a different cross-section of sellers attending if the event was hosted in areas other than just the Gold Coast.
Years ago when ebay hosted the ebay academies in different Australian cities, I found the Melbourne event to be well attended.
I would prefer to see the event hosted in a different city each year.

to be fair, it was hosted in Sydney and Melbourne several times and the attendance was nowhere near as high as when it moved to the Gold Coast.

We have held the event in Melbourne and Sydney on many times in the past. Our data from attendee's tell us overwhelmingly that people want it on the Gold Coast. I understand that some want the event to be held in other cities (I would rather hold it in Melbourne), however we must respect the survey data. Thanks for your feedback happyinoz.

Hey Phil, Awesome!!!
When a little birdie told me the tentative dates for PeSA and it was going to be at the Gold Coast again, I went out and booked my flights with Jetstar. They had a deal $35 each way, so loving a bargain, I went ahead. But this time, because the Gold Coast has so much more to offer, I am going up for 5 nights. My good mate Bron from CardBiz lives up there so I'll have a drinking & partying buddy every night.... How good is that!! lol
The benefit of being at the Gold Coast again is a really good venue location, excellent food, cheap flights (Jetstar always have sales on between now & then... sign up for their email alerts) and super cheap accommodation. Get a few mates together, or message some of us regulars and share. There were a bunch of us powersellers who stayed at The Air on Broadbeach this year, and it was super cheap.
I absolutely love the networking opportunities and have made some life long friendships. There is one thing that can be said for working online retail... it can be very lonely and especially when feeling like our worlds are caving in with a negative. Those friendships you end up making in real life are so genuine and they are with you thru thick and thin forever. And the best part of it? Everything is a tax deduction... so take a few days out of your business, head up to the gold coast and have some fun... you might even learn a thing or two along the way.
Next year will be my 5th year... A year wouldn't be a year without my PeSA ๐
PS... No animals were harmed nor was I paid to recommend coming along to PeSA!! I'm a retired real estate agent... networking is my thing xxx
Cheers

Jetstar don't fly in or out of Canberra; or most regional cities, no doubt. Best is $143 each way with Virgin.
