Meant to clarify guys.... this conference is awesome for any seller who is thinking of making online selling a career.  Many of us have come from all walks of life and have such diverse skills that we are always amazed at what we learn from each other. And the best part of online selling is others sellers are more than happy to help you.  Well... provided you are not in direct competition to them or aspire to duplicate what they do. Yes, we can sniff that out too! lol

The first PeSA I attended was in Sydney and though the venue was good, there were very few hotels close by and there was a lot of walking to get from A to B. Melbourne was the same and it was either minibus or cabs to get anywhere.  

Hey Dave.... all a tax deduction my friend 🙂  I look at it as my once a year time away from the family. When I add it up to what I learn, it's pretty cheap in the scheme of things 🙂

Buying my ticket now 🙂  Booked flights return ex Sydney with 20kg luggage allowance $110! And conference under $400... Shared accommodation with other ebay sellers works out around $80 per night in luxury apartments... Awesome!!! Best value learning & networking event where you get to rub shoulders and chat with like minded souls.

I'm sure you would know what you're talking about but I'm also guessing that you make a few million running this event.

In times of a gold rush, the shovel sellers make all the money......That's a quote I read a few years ago when I first started selling and I guess that applies to all field as you would know.

Buyers rarely read that section. I've been buying for over 10 years and selling for 4. I've never read an 'about me' page when deciding which seller to buy from.....Price and feedback is what I use to determine who I buy from.

I'm happy with my current sales anyway. I have a quota and I meet it every week.

If I want to chat with like minded folks, I jump on the forums and occasionally the CBA or some other big company holds a FREE small business breakfast where a few big names talk and give you their advice - did I mention it was FREE? 

$375 is better spent on a holiday with friends

You can always view the highlights a few days later on youtube anyways

A few Million... LOL. Simple math shows that even 1/2  million is not possible.

As long as you are happy with your current sales and you want to spend the money towards holidays - I am happy for you.

Please don't ever call my event a "rip off" unless you have attended your fare share of eCommerce events or done research.

As for the about me page. Well it is a clear fact that a large % of buyers look at a persons about me page and it does make a difference - A very clear difference.

And lastly. I do not normally post here due to time limitations. We are busy now putting the conference agenda together with over 70 speakers and sessions. (My Last Post)

BTW: The “real cost” per delegate (including Gala Dinner) at PeSA 2012 was $796. We sold the majority of our tickets that (included the gala dinner) at around $425.  The $ shortfall was made up by exhibitors and Platinum Sponsors: eBay, PayPal and Magento.

That’s why most other eCommerce conferences start at $1000 per ticket.

I set this conference up in Australia because when I was selling on eBay you had to travel to the USA to obtain information to help you grow or make your business profitable. We all have different goals and aspirations and that is for the choice of individuals. If you want to grow your online business then you need to attend conferences (and not just PeSA).

Watch the video testimonials, talk to people that have attended. Check the facts.

Man, is that ever a sales pitch if I've ever seen one!

I'm guessing by that logic half the ebay sellers on here shouldn't exist.....

I'd actually like to see the facts on that too - ie. graphs/charts of people who after attending your event have shown more growth as compared to previous years and how many attribute the conference to the growth of their business - there's an advertising idea, and it's FREE

I hope your not one of the speakers at the conference....If i'd heard that, i'll know where i'll be heading.

You completely undermine the whole concept of the internet (free information available to anyone and everyone) and if I wanted to take it one step further is a complete insult to the volunteers out there

I'm sure people who attend the event get some good out of it but there are other ways to get the same for less or nothing, you just got to search for it....
